Behind the Armor

As an eldest child I always felt a sense of pride in the protection of my siblings and my younger family members. I'd always find myself in moments where I had the option to succumb to fear and cower or rise to the occasion and protect what I considered dear to my heart. It was always the latter, no matter if I lost a battle or left with scars my purpose felt fulfilled.

Stand for something or lose it all.

At a point in understanding, growing up on the Southside of Chicago, the city, it's people, the culture, and the community all became apart of the family dynamic for me. I've witnessed an illustrious city be the victim to many plagues. I've also witnessed many individuals don the armor of knights via activism through business and commerce, politics and my favorite, arts and culture.

My greatest outlets in my opinion have and will always be fashion and music. What better way to contribute than styling the individuals on the front lines, including myself.

The work is never finished and every day we take a step closer to creating a kingdom built on the foundation of love and unity.

I truly will always believe that a society grown around doing unto others as you would like done unto yourself is a golden one and the version of the life we live I would like to provide to my children and the next generation.
